YouTube Picture in Picture (Pip)
YouTube PiP (Picture in Picture) mode is great for sharing YouTube videos with family and friends, especially if you don’t have an internet connection or cell phone. All you need is a web browser. Start by loading YouTube in a new window. Then click the “video” link in the upper left corner of the screen. You will see a drop-down menu. But instead of clicking one of the options, go to the bottom and click the “play with: YouTube” link.
Some browsers such as Internet Explorer support this mode. If not, a YouTube spokesperson can give you instructions on how to enable it in your browser. To do this, click “Help.” Some mobile devices also support this mode.
It is possible to share only parts of a video in this mode, especially if you want viewers to get the most out of your video by watching it. To do this, first, make sure you have the correct URL. In iTunes, tap the ‘iTunes Store’ icon, then tap ‘Apps’. Next, find the apple-shaped icon and tap on it. You can now browse through all the available apps and choose the one you want to use as your YouTube Picture in Picture mode.

Another way to use this feature is to start YouTube in picture-in-picture mode by highlighting Control (`) and pressing the button. In the browser tab that appears, select the video you want to send. A progress notification will appear for you to watch while the video is loading. At the same time, a menu will appear so that you can switch between different views. You can open the YouTube video in another browser tab for easier viewing.
Finally, there is a way to enjoy this feature for those who subscribe to the YouTube Premium subscription. First, start YouTube in “Picture in Picture” mode by clicking the YouTube logo in the upper right corner. Next, select “Settings” from the drop-down menu, then tap “IPod.” Finally, select “Yes” to enable basic functions for iPod.
The iTunes Music App and YouTube Picture-in-Picture feature on the Apple iPhone are great tools for sharing videos with family and friends. While this functionality is only available for premium YouTube members, it’s worth trying for yourself. In addition, the YouTube app is free on both iPhone and Android smartphone platforms. So it’s definitely worth a free download if you already have an iPhone or Android smartphone.
